The past century has witnessed a revolution in the ownership and design of homes in Britain. At the turn of the twentieth century home making was a utilitarian business, and ownership amongst most people a rarity. now, within a couple of generations the home has become a major obsession and  the major expense for most households. In this series Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen tracks our progress from the 1920s to the home-owners we have become in the 21st Century. He explores our changing attitudes towards home - the urge to own and evolving tastes and styles.
