Mabey in the Wild
BBC Radio 4
Following the success of our series in July 2011 in which 'Britiain's favourite naturalist' Richard Mabey gave us a personal portrait of 5 of Britain's wild flowers, he now turns his attention to ....trees.
In these programmes, recorded out in the countryside, Richard will offer a very personal take on elm, beech, yew, holly and sycamore. The programmes are both natural and cultural history - they include readings and poetry and deal with the significance of these trees in British life, the landscape and in local history.
